A 22" widescreen LCD with a difference

By: (more) | Posted: Mar 11, 2008 9:08 am

With the mass of 22" WS LCDs flooding the market, it's hard for any one brand to really stand out. However, Samsung have got a little trick up their sleeve which they plan to use on the upcoming SyncMaster 2243BWP.

Yep, you're reading that correctly. This will be the first 22" WS LCD to hit the market with a native resolution of 2048 x 1152; up from the usual 1680 x 1050 res found on its older brother (the SyncMaster 2243BW) and the mass of other 22" WS LCDs currently available.

Apart from the significantly increased resolution, the 2243BWP will carry over the same specs and features from the existing 2243BW, and we should see it become available sometime during Q2 at a pricepoint not yet disclosed.

More details here.
