First 4GB 1800MHz DDR3 kit released

By: (more) | RAM News | Posted: Apr 23, 2008 12:30 am

With the DDR3 memory market continuing to show rapid growth, Super Talent has become the first memory maker to introduce a 4GB DDR3 kit capable of operating at DDR3-1800 speeds. As a fresh member to their Project X series, these modules are rated with latencies of 8-8-8-24 at their 1800MHz speed.

Super Talent are promising near immediate availability at a hefty price tag of around $499 USD, so there's still some waiting to do before 4GB of high-end DDR3 falls within reach.

San Jose, California - April 23, 2008 -- Super Talent Technology, a leading manufacturer of DRAM memory modules and flash storage solutions, today launched a DDR3-1800 4GB kit (2x 2GB) in their extreme performance Project X family.

Super Talent's Project X memory is widely regarded as the world's most advanced DDR3. "This represents another major first-to-market milestone for Super Talent", commented Super Talent Marketing Director, Joe James. "While competitors are only able to produce 4GB kits up to DDR3-1600, we've engineered a kit that performs at elevated clock speeds while still supporting aggressive latencies."
