Alienware Area-51 ALX PC with 4GHz CPU

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: May 23, 2008 5:38 am

Alienware has just launched its Area-51 ALX PC gaming system for the second time but this time it comes with one major difference.

Instead of sticking with a stock clocked Intel 45nm 12MB QX9770 processor, Alienware pumps the processor to its absolute stable limits from 3.2GHz all the way up to 4GHz using AlienIce 3.0 high-performance cooling that uses water as its cooling medium of choice.

It comes loaded with Windows Vista Ultimate, motherboard based on Nvidia's nForce 790i Ultra SLI chipset, GeForce 9600GT through to 9800GX2 (or ATI models), up to 4TB of storage and Blu-ray burner that are all enclosed inside a rather fancy looking case with plenty of lighting action for fans of that type of thing. Inside the case is also very tidy and clean with plenty of attention to detail of the cable wiring front.

If you are looking for a new super high-end gaming rig with all the fancy bells and whistles and have a large chunk of cash to spare, head on over to the Alienware website and take a closer look.
