Walt Disney Home Entertainment in the U.S. today announced the blu-ray release of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, for August 26th.

Whilst Disney failed to release full specs, they have released the following:

* Exclusive introduction by Tim Burton
* Audio Commentary by Tim Burton, director Henry Selick and composer Danny Elfman
* An original poem written by Burton and narrated by Christopher Lee
* Digital copy version of the film
* Tim Burton's Vincent short film
* Several featurettes including a tour of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion
* Making of

With Disney's track record, we can also reasonably expect Dolby TrueHD audio (yes!) and most, if not all of the original DVD features.
