Nehalem and X58 show up in Taipei early

By: (more) | Posted: May 31, 2008 9:47 am

COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2008 The folks over at bit-tech are in town already for some big computer show next week and managed to convince MSI into letting them take snaps of Intel's upcoming "Tylersberg" X58 Express chipset (high-end successor to the X48 with Nehalem support).

They got a close-up look at a motherboard using said chipset and clearly visible is triple-channel memory DIMM slots along with the CPU socket.

If that was not enough, they were also allowed to take happy snaps of Intel's upcoming LGA1366 socket based Bloomsfield CPU that uses Nehalem architecture.

We are sure Intel will be happy about this... when pigs fly! During our trips around the Computex halls next week, we will probably spot more X58 and Nehalem action, so stay tuned as things are only just getting started.

You can check out the rest of the pictures snapped by Richard Swinburne over at bit-tech right here.
