VIA Nano platform earns 'Best of Computex' award

COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2008 VIA is certainly feeling very good about itself this year at Computex, and rightfully so given that the Taiwan Computer Association and the Taiwan External Trade Council (TAITRA) have presented the company the coveted 'Best of Computex' award for its recently launched ultra efficient VIA Nano processor and VX800 all-in-one digital media IGP chipset.

The judging panel honoured VIA's entry in the LSI/VLSI Category for Mobile Platforms for its ultra low power, miniaturization and optimized performance that will help drive the new breed of ultra portable and small form factor PCs. Also praised was the platform's high-level integration, as well as its pin-to-pin compatibility with the VIA C7® processor family, giving OEMs and motherboard vendors a smooth upgrade transition for system or board designs.
