GeForce 9800GT sighted at Elsa's booth

By: (more) | Video Cards News | Posted: Jun 6, 2008 3:16 am

COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2008 It looks like we'll be seeing the addition of at least one more member to the 9 series of GeForce cards from NVIDIA before they move onto bigger and better things with their next-gen offerings.

A 9800GT has been spotted at Elsa's booth which would appear to be very similar to its older 8800GT brother, only the clockspeeds are slightly higher with 630MHz on the core and 1800MHz on the 1GB of GDDR3 memory. However, given the non-reference cooler used for this particular card, it's possible the card is a factory overclocked variant sporting higher than reference clocks.

Apparently the 9800GT is due for launch sometime next month.
