Kingston's range of new memory products on show

By: (more) | RAM News | Posted: Jun 6, 2008 8:26 am

COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2008 Kingston have always done some great products and today's tour was no exception.

Starting with some USB thumb drives that they claim are currently the fastest on the market (30MB/s Read and 20MB/s write. On display was 2, 8 and 16GB models, only out in the USA at the moment.

Next was a new design series called terracotta that is aimed at giving the thumb drives a quality look and feel. This model is based on a design of the terracotta warriors.

Kingston is also making headway with the smaller thumb drives in an effort to compete with every other memory manufacturer out there it seems.

An interesting note is that they are also trying co-marketing ventures within specific regions that allow them to pre-load the drives with content in an effort to help boost sales. Seen here is a tie in with World of Warcraft for Taiwan specifically that gives the buyer extra points to spend online.

Moving on to the DDR2 and DDR3 memory modules Kingston show us a full buffered module for server usage that has some passive heat pipe dissipation on top to keep it really cool.

Also on show are some new DDR3 modules running at 2000MHz FSB.
