NVIDIA AIBs reveal more upcoming 9800GTX+ parts

By: (more) | Posted: Jul 8, 2008 8:51 am

These little previews of SKUs powered by forthcoming GPUs are becoming so much more prevalent these days. After all, with intense competition on the playing field, AIBs are constantly trying to pip each other to the post and what better way to do it, then whet appetites with some, not very discrete, photography?

We presented some images to you yesterday, of upcoming MSI, Point of View and ZOTAC solutions, fuelled by NVIDIA's upcoming 55nm G92b, the GeForce 9800GTX+ and today, brings some more parts vying for your attention.

Palit's GeForce 9800GTX+ has been caught on camera and tries for the softer, less harsh approach with its imagery. Appearances can be deceptive though, but it is only a reference solution and hence the expected 738 MHz, 1836 MHz and 2200 MHz clocks for the GPU, shader and 512 MB of GDDR3 memory respectively, still apply.

ZOTAC featured in the line-up yesterday and today, they are back with bold images of their GeForce 9800GTX+ AMP! Edition, finding their way on to the Internet.

The GeForce 9800GTX+ AMP! Edition, aims to reinvigorate the mix and is supposed to boast a barely increased GPU speed of 750 MHz, shader clocks of 1890 MHz and 512 MB of GDDR3 memory, running at 2300 MHz.

We undoubtedly expect to see more SKUs vying for trade between now and the expected, July 16th launch date.
