Intel X58/Nehalem platform will support SLI

Great news on the Intel/SLI front. We recently mentioned that there was a strong chance Intel's upcoming X58 chipset for next-gen Nehalem platforms would bring SLI support as well as Crossfire on the same boards, but was yet to be set in stone.

 

NVIDIA has now come forward, confirming that they will indeed be providing SLI technology to Intel for these boards. Many of us were beginning to wonder if it would ever happen; it's like a dream come true for PC enthusiasts.
