MSI Sets New Benchmark for Large Notebooks

With Stylish Ultra-Slim X-Slim X400 and X600 at Computex 2009

-Taipei-The newest and most eye-catching addition to the MSI line-up for 2009 is the slim, aesthetic and stylish X-Slim series based on the latest Intel CULV platform. When the 13" X340 was released in May, it immediately caused a stir in the market. For Computex 2009, the 14" X400 and 15.6" X600 will set a new benchmark for large notebooks and break with the convention that large screens means heavier notebooks. With the new X-Slim models, consumers will be able to enjoy a notebook that not only has large displays but is also perfectly portable. These new additions will be in stores by July! MSI has also made netbook bigger by releasing the 12" Wind Pro U200 netbook based on the CULV platform. Weighing in at just 1.4kg, it comes with an innovative bezel-less display so light weight doesn't have to mean putting up with small displays anymore!

The X-Slim 600 with a 15.6" display and discrete graphic card weighs just 2kg and no more than an inch thick. It is the lightest and slimmest discrete graphic card -equipped model in the industry!

The X-Slim X340, X400 and X600 are all based on the CULV platform. If the 12" Wind Pro U200 netbook is also included, MSI is then the first notebook manufacturer to take thinness and energy-saving to a whole new level by offering a complete range of CULV models ranging from 12" to 15.6". The X600 with a 15.6" 16:9 aspect ratio LED display and discrete graphic card in particular is under an inch thick and weighs just 2kg with a 6-cell ultra-thin lithium-polymer battery. This makes it the lightest and thinnest 15.6" discrete graphic card notebook in the industry! With the X600, the era of heavy and bulky large display notebooks is now over - and a new age of ultra-slim and lightweight has begun!

The X-Slim X400's pearl white chassis and sky blue trim perfectly highlights its thinness (24mm) and lightness (1.5kg). Even businessmen can now enjoy casual LOHAS style!

The 14" X-Slim X400 comes with a 4-cell ultra-slim lithium-polymer battery as standard. Weighing just 1.5kg with a thickness of 24mm, its exterior design exemplifies the qualities of minimalism, understatement, LOHAS and opulence. When the X400 was first unveiled, it immediately attracted media acclaim and became the most talked about next-generation notebook model. The two basic colors are Imperial Black and Pearl White plus three different kinds of colored trim. The X400 in Imperial Black with Gray Silver trim comes across as cool and reserved, the Gold trim emphasizes its nobility and opulence, while Pearl White with Sky Blue trim captures the LOHAS spirit perfectly. These are all perfect choices for business users looking to accentuate their tastes and catch people's eye.
