Power through the Business World with the Fujitsu LifeBook E780

Fujitsu welcomes the LifeBook E780, an outstanding computing powerhouse that will impress with its full features. Packed with high quality converged communication functions, the latest Intel® processor technology, superb expandability, fully fortified security and full HD capability, the LifeBook E780 will help you gain command in business with ease.

Sydney, Australia: 29 March, 2010 - Fujitsu announces the release of the LifeBook E780, a top-of-the-line, full-featured notebook that comes equipped with a suite of functions that will aid any user in commanding their digital kingdom. The high-performance LifeBook E780 features a 500GB 5400rpm SATA Drive, and is also equipped with the latest security features to protect your notebook from compromise and the hassle of theft. Powered by the latest Intel® CoreTM i7-620M processor or Intel® Core™ i5-540M processor that supports vPRO™ technology and the latest Windows® 7 operating system, performance is not something you'd need to worry about.

"The LifeBook E780 is the answer to address any business professional's needs. It has a full set of features that include not just the latest Intel® platform but security features like the Anti-theft Lock Slot and HDD Lock to keep sensitive company information safe and secure. Here at Fujitsu, we are aiming for a performance notebook par excellence, and we have it with the LifeBook E780," commented Mr. Ivan Chan, Country Director, Fujitsu PC Australia.

FULL HD CAPABILITIES
With the LifeBook E780, movie watchers can now have the perfect movie companion as it comes with full HD* compatibility with a resolution of 1920x1080* pixels on a 15.6-inch Anti Glare HD display. Expect nothing but the best with the NVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics with 1GB video memory which simply translates to excellent picture quality for movie enjoyment. The built-in NVIDIA® CUDA™ technology has the ability to accelerate applications up to 10 times faster than the CPU. What's more, you can expect easy editing of HD movies and the new drag-and-drop transcode feature built into Windows® 7 will allow for automatic transfers of the videos for viewing on portable players for your ultimate convenience. In addition, users will benefit from reduced power consumption when surfing the web, writing emails or using word processor applications with this new generation notebook graphics.

QUALITY VISUAL COMMUNICATION
The LifeBook E780 is armed with high quality instant visual communication tools that include a 2.0 Mega Pixel web camera as well as a Dual Built-in Digital Array Microphone. These tools enable you to communicate instantly with friends, colleagues and business partners via popular instant messaging applications, e.g. MSN, Skype, Yahoo messaging. Ad-hoc video conferences are also made way much easier with these quality communication tools.

MAXIMUM SECURITY
Built like a highly secured fortress, the LifeBook E780 features an Anti-theft Lock Slot that will physically lock the LifeBook E780 whenever the user is away from the keyboard, a Fingerprint Sensor, a Trusted Platform Module, and BIOS and HDD password activation that ensure protection of sensitive information. An added bonus of the E780 is the Fujitsu 3D Shock Sensor that protects the machine by retracting the HDD head once significant impact is detected.

EXPANDABILITY IS EASY
Boasting a range of functions that help the LifeBook E780 expands its memory are the hot swappable modular bay and its eSATA supportable interface. The swappable modular bay offers the highest flexibility in the market to fit customer usage whilst the eSATA interface expedites access in the external drive.

The LifeBook E780 also offers a Modular Bay Battery wherein battery hours are expanded with the modular battery pack. This shaves off the time spent searching for power sources when outdoors. Apart from that, the E780 has flexible weight given the removable optical drive and a DVD Super Multi-Writer that supports DVD multi formats such as DVD-RAM, DL DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-R, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, CD-R and CD-ROM.

Fujitsu remains firmly committed to the promotion of a cleaner environment and complies with the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive (RoHS) across its entire range of products. In addition, Fujitsu has established a set of commitments that go beyond RoHS requirements, thus allowing it to stay keenly focused on its customers' health and well-being as well as to embrace a healthier environment for all. By adopting a green factory concept and being committed to the cause of energy-efficient computing, Fujitsu also fights to sustain the Earth as a sponsor and a member of the Climate Savers Computing Initiative.
