Dell Breakthrough LED Technology Delivers Next-Generation Printing for Small and Medium Businesses, Home Offices

Eight New Colour LED and Colour Laser Printers Deliver Professional Print Quality in Affordable, Compact Packages

SYDNEY, 28 September 2010 - Dell today announced the launch of eight new LED and laser colour printers that deliver the next evolution in colour printing technology to small and medium businesses and home offices worldwide, further enhancing the company's robust portfolio of solutions designed exclusively for growing companies.

Dell's breakthrough LED printing technology, including the world's smallest A4 small business laser class colour printerą, rounds out its printer family delivering optimal performance and energy efficiency to organisations of all sizes.

"In recent years, Dell has made tangible, significant improvements to its printer portfolio with a collection of colour, monochrome, single function and multifunction solutions," said Keith Kmetz, vice president of Hardcopy Peripherals Solutions and Services at IDC. "With today's announcement, Dell continues to make advances with high-quality colour printers that are affordable for small businesses."

No-compromise Colour Printing with New LED Printers - Top buying considerations for home offices, small businesses and distributed workgroups include workspace efficiency, support resources for printer maintenance, and affordability for fast and quality printing. Dell's new LED A4 colour printers squarely meet these requirements.

With Dell Clear View LED print technology, the Dell 1000 series printers are a perfect unity of technology and design, purposefully engineered to be compact for greater space efficiency without compromising print quality, performance, energy savings and ease of maintenance over comparable laser printers in the same class. High-resolution print quality allows customers to produce professional-looking marketing collaterals in-house, and fewer moving parts and a drum and fuser kit make for easy maintenance and reliable printing.

"Dell is committed to helping small businesses and workgroups maximize every resource as they strive for business growth," said Tim Griffin, vice president Consumer, Small and Medium Business Services and Solutions, Dell. "With our industry-leading LED colour printers, customers no longer have to compromise when it comes to print technology. They can rest assured they're receiving a powerful combination of speed, quality, energy efficiency and size which translates into increased productivity and exceptional value."

With its compact design, the 1250c is 10 percent smaller than the Samsung CLP 315/315Wą.

1350cnw - This network and wifi-enabled printer prints up to 15/12 (mono/colour) A4-sized ppm with up to 11 percent less power consumption during printing and faster colour print speed than the Samsung CLP-315W colour laser printerą.
