Introduction

Gigabyte has been in the business of making motherboards for quite some time now; since 1986 to be exact. They weren't really a name that was held in high regard by Power Users, but with the AMD Thunderbird striking with such force, they have risen to the challenge and mass-produce several different varieties of motherboards for it. But we Overclocking Enthusiasts are a mighty tough breed to make happy.

Today's review will take a look at one of their newer offerings that utilizes the VIA KT266A chipset. This has proven itself to be the chipset of choice for those who like to exceed factory specs and go for the gusto. The 7VTXE is from the budget line, but we're checking it out anyway because of the chipset choice used. After all, saving money is always a good thing.

So lets take a look and see if they can do it justice, shall we?
