Introduction

Only the other week we had a chance to look at the first ATI AIB partner All in Wonder utilizing the new 9600 XT core from GeCube. As we mentioned in the review, Kingmax Australia (the distributor of GeCube cards in Australia) has chosen to include a copy of Cyberlink's PowerCinema software in the package.

Due to the review being totally focused on the graphics card, we didn't have the ability to give a good run down on the PowerCinema software. While other programs like PowerDirector were included there is no denying that 90% of people simply choose to throw this software aside and there is no denying that PowerDirector is aimed at a very niche market which is still developing.

People looking at the 9600 XT All in Wonder are buying this graphics card package because of its built-in TV-Tuner functions and high quality graphics in one for either their main desktop computer or Home Theater (HT) system.

There is no denying that the HT market is growing larger and larger. This can be attributed to the decrease in computer case sizes and ease of use of computers generally. Unfortunately the HT market is plagued with cheap and poorly designed software with the exception really only being Microsoft Media Center which still is not widely released on a global scale.

We have had the ability to use Cyberlink's PowerCinema software for some time, and now it has the perfect companion, the All in Wonder 9600 XT from ATI. Let's go ahead and find out exactly what PowerCinema is and what it can do for your HT setup!
