- Main Menu
Below is a picture of the Main Menu which you are greeted with when you first load up PowerCinema.
As you can see we have all the main menus you would want including Movies, Pictures, Videos, Music, Web and Settings. We will look into each of these menus throughout the rest of the review.
- Movies Menu
Starting from the top we find ourselves looking at the Movies menu. When clicking on the menu you are instantly taken into what looks like a slightly modified version of PowerDVD. When you click on movies it instantly reads what's in your DVD player and proceeds to play the move.
With the remote control or mouse you can navigate through the DVD menus without having to leave the comfort of your chair. Getting a DVD up and running is a very basic task and you shouldn't have any problem getting a movie playing in no time.
- Pictures Menu
Pictures is the next menu on the list and there is no doubt that digital cameras are becoming the way of the future. With the price of digital cameras theses days, they are affordable for everyone and every man (or lady) and their dog are buying one.
Clicking on the pictures menu brings you to a thumbnail area as you can see below.
You can navigate through this area with both the remote control or mouse quite easily. Within this menu you can do a fair bit including sorting pictures by names or dates as well as being able to rotate pictures so you can see the picture better. You also can go through the slideshow which starts from the first picture and continues going through them until you exit. This is great if you just came back from holiday and have friends over - with one click you can go through your whole trips photos.
