Software Side

- Videos Menu

Not to be confused with the movies menu, the videos menu is totally different. It is the section you use to play your AVI files, etc. It is the section where PowerCinema really begins to shine. One of the worst problems when outputting your computer display to a TV is that the text is too hard to read. Below you can see that the navigation of the videos folder is very similar to the pictures menu.

Like the pictures menu, you can also sort all your videos by name or date. As we mentioned before, the ability to read Windows text on a normal TV using TV-Out is quite hard and almost impossible unless you have a little idea of what you are looking at and when you need to navigate. The fonts in PowerCinema are nice and big which makes it excellent for looking through your movie collection on your HTPC - using this software is an absolute breeze.

- Music Menu

The music menu is slightly different from the other menus in that once you click on something it doesn't load it into another program like the other three menus we have looked at so far.

You can simply begin to play from the beginning of the folder and keep going through in order or if you like you can set it to shuffle so it randomly goes through songs you have stored in the folder.

Like the video menu, the text is easy to read thanks to the large bold text that PowerCinema uses.
