G.SKILL has just announced the latest in its goal towards being the best RAM manufacturer on the planet, with the new Trident Z RGB series memory kit coming in at 32GB and a huge speed of up to 4266MHz.
G.SKILL is using hand-picked, high-performance Samsung B-die DDR4 IC components that allow their latest G.SKILL Z370 DDR4 Trident Z RGB memory to come in three different flavors. First, we have 16GB and 32GB kits of DDR4-4000 with 17-17-17-37 timings at 1.35V, while the DDR4-4133 kit comes with the same latencies and capacities, but sees the voltage bumped up to 1.4V.
The flagship DDR4-4266MHz kit comes with slightly higher latencies of 17-18-18-38 at 1.45V and only in 32GB (4 x 8GB sticks).
G.SKILL's latest RAM will be available starting in January 2018.
In somewhat of a welcomed change, Kingmax have released the Zeus Dragon DDR4 memory series that features absolutely no RGB illumination, and it looks great!
The aluminium alloy heat sink not only acts to dissipate heat efficiently, but the blend of both Eastern and Western style dragon symbols creates an appealing and elegant finish. Kingmax claim that "the luxurious etchings present the superiority of the dragon and display the assertiveness and dignity of royalty".
Who doesn't love fast memory? CORSAIR definitely do and have you just unveiled their fastest dual-channel 32GB DDR4 memory kit ever, running at a world-first 4,333MHz. The new CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX CMK32GX4M4K4333C19 kit is built with hand-sorted and extensively binned Samsung B-die ICs, runs CL19-26-26-46 timings at 1.5V and to put it simply, this kit is a BEAST.
As you can see above, the CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX CMK32GX4M4K4333C19 32GB kit is paired up with an ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X Hero motherboard and Intel Core i5-8600K processor and completed a MemTest stress test at 4,333MHz, a record for this configuration.
Samsung is ramping up its DRAM production, with the company setting itself up to expand two of its DRAM manufacturing plants in Hwasung and Pyeongtaek, both in South Korea.
Samsung will be re-purposing some of its 2D NAND flash at its Hwasung plant, which will then be used to boost DRAM production, which should start in Q1 2018. The Pyeongtaek-based plant is also being refitted, with DRAM manufacturing clean rooms that will be built on the plant's second floor.
But we all want to know when cheaper DDR4 will be here, which is what Samsung is going to be able to offer once DRAM production is up, but don't expect anything until the second half of 2018. The PC industry isn't the only place where increased DRAM production will alleviate shortages, as smartphones and tablets also use lots of DRAM these days. DRAM stock has been depleted over the last 9 months or so, with RAM prices skyrocketing up by to 100%.
G.SKILL doesn't ride in the slow lane, with the company announcing their new Ripjaws series DDR4-3800 RAM kit in SO-DIMM form, the fastest SO-DIMM RAM on the planet.
The new Ripjaws SO-DIMM memory is aimed at mini-ITX gaming PCs, with ASRock's latest X299-E ITX/ac being one of the motherboards that will work with the 32GB kit of SO-DIMM. If you were to mix this with Intel's new flagship Core i9-7980XE, you'll have one of the smallest, and one of the most powerful rigs money can buy.
As for specifications, G.SKILL has their new Ripjaws DDR4 SO-DIMM kits in three different speeds: 3200MHz, 3600MHz, and 3800MHz. They all come with different timings, with the 3200MHz and 3600MHz kits coming in at 16-16-16-36 while the 3800MHz kit is slightly higher with 18-18-18-38. Something to take note of, the 3200MHz kit can be purchased in a huge 64GB kit if you need it.
G.SKILL has supercharged its new enthusiast-grade TridentZ RGB RAM kits with big capacities to match the 4000MHz+ frequency speeds.
G.SKILL today announced the fastest 32GB RGB RAM kit on the market with its new TridentZ DDR4 configuration. The kit, which is yet another example of G.SKILL constantly pushing the RAM bar further, includes 4x 8GB modules clocked at 4266MHz with CL19-23-23-43 timings and 1.4V of power draw. And of course each module is flavored with scintillating prismatic flux via RGB lighting, adding a splash of beauty to any build.
As company the touts, this RAM breakthrough was achieve just a week after Intel's 8th gen Core processors and the new Z370 chipset motherboards came to market. The new 32GB TridentZ RGB DDR4-4266 kit was stress tested on an ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero motherboard alongside a new Intel Core i5-8600K CPU.
G.SKILL have announced their new Trident Z and Trident Z RGB memory kits for 8th Gen Intel Core processors built on the Coffee Lake microarchitecture and Z370 chipset motherboards.
